15.03.18 Year 1 visit the National Space Centre in Leicester
We had a wonderful day learning all about space exploration and experienced the wonderful Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium.
06.03.18 Cook Class Trip to Mars
As part of our Literacy work on writing reports, Cook Class visited the ‘Magic Room’ to blast off to visit the planet Mars. We saw ice caps, dust storms and the largest volcano in the Solar System. On the way, we collected lots of words to help us in our writing.

This week Year Ones have been busy making Sock Puppets!
Year One had a special visit from Pudsy this week! Pudsy came to ask them how they are raising money for Children In Need on Friday and other ways in which they can help. They all asked Pudsy questions and even got a hug at the end! Take a look at some photos below.
13.11.17 KS1 Blunderbus Performance
The school was treated to a performance of Oliver Jeffers book Lost and Found, followed by a workshop later for Year 1 and 2. Amazing fun!

13.10.17 Year 1 trip to Ark Wildlife Park
The children had a fantastic day out seeing all the different animals. They learnt lots of interesting facts and even got to stroke some of the creatures!

Year 1 Library Visits
The children really enjoyed their visit to the Library, where they had a tour of the building, made a book mark and, of course, enjoyed a story. Many of the children joined the Library, so they could borrow books in the future.

As part of our Wow Day for our new topic, Paws Claws and Whiskers, we visited Pets at Home to see lots of different pets. We even got to stroke some!
