Apart from home, school is the single most important place in the lives of most children. Their experience of school will play a vital role in their lives and be a key determiner in their future. As such, we understand how important it is to decide on the right school for your child.

How do I apply for a reception place?

As an Academy, the Academy Trust is the admissions authority for the school.  The Academy adheres to the Admissions and Appeals Code of Practice and uses the Lincolnshire coordinated scheme for admissions to offer available places.  Children are admitted into the school’s EYFS Class for their Reception Year in the September following their fourth birthday up to the school’s admission limit of 60 (PAN).

Where a parent/carer wishes their child to be admitted to the Reception Class at Boston Pioneers Academy they need to apply online at

If parents do not have access to a computer, they can make a telephone application or request a paper application by calling the Education Team at the Customer Service Centre on 01522 782030.

Mid-year Applications and Applications for places other than in EYFS

Parents seeking to admit their child to Reception after 31 August 2021 or for places in any other year group will need to contact the Admissions Department directly as we also use the Lincolnshire coordinated admissions system for mid-year applications and applications for places within other year groups.

Primary schools – National Offer Day was the 16th April 2021 and the deadline for an appeal to be received in relation to the allocation of Primary places was noon on 17th May, 2021.

Following National Offer Day, parents were able to log all block appeals via the appeal form on the LCC website and LCC will then forward the appeals to schools to process.

This will also be forwarded to legal services for scheduling with an independent panel.
