School Uniform Pop Up Shop Friday 29th June
Dear Parents & Carers,
SCHOOL UNIFORM
Uniform is an important part of a school’s identity. It reinforces who we are as a community and helps allow students to feel pride in their school. It also ensures students are not put under any pressure because of the type of clothes they wear and all are treated equally. Moreover, it helps prepare students for life after school where many will have to dress smartly for work.
However, recently it would be fair to say that our uniform has become ‘less uniform’, with many families sending their children to school in a number of different ‘interpretations’, so I believe it is time to clarify our expectations for students and parents as these have not changed from the point of the school opening.
Upon starting school, parents and carers are required to sign a Home-School Agreement in which it clearly states that you will get your child to school on time and in the correct uniform. To clarify what is and is not acceptable please see below:

Outdoor Coats
A plain black or navy coat may be worn to and from the Academy. Alternatively, purple fleeces and reversible jackets are available from our uniform providers. However, these are not to be worn in place of a jumper or blazer and are only for outdoor wear.
We will be enforcing this new guidance very strictly when we return in September. On the first day back we will check the uniform of all students. Any students not in the correct uniform without good reason will receive a uniform breach letter. If students then continue to arrive in an incorrect piece of uniform, we will contact you and if necessary reserve the right to send them home to get the correct uniform.
UNIFORM ‘POP UP SHOP’
On Friday 29th June 2018, Nationwide School Uniforms are coming over to Pioneers with the whole range of Pioneers uniform that they sell. They will be in the hall from 3.15pm so you can size your child/children if you require any uniform for next year or PE tee-shirts for Sports Day. You will be able to buy the uniform and take it on the day; saving any postage costs or trips to their shop in Spilsby.
A final note…
We are sending this letter out now as we wanted to give parents two months’ notice to ensure their child has the correct uniform. If you have any questions about the guidance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
We look forward to your support in ensuring all students are treated equally and trust the guidance above makes things much clearer for everyone.
